2007's Best Hair Straighteners and Flat Irons

CurlytoStraight.com announces the winners of the very best hair straighteners of 2007.

The standards that were used to determine this "Best Of" list are; product features, reliability, customer feed back and customer support. This review won't discuss all of the classes of hair straightener available on the market. Only high quality products were examined and costs weren't considered.

The following reviews are only based on product quality, the feed back of consumers and features. It will not take price into account.

1) The FHI Runway Series - This brand of hair straightener is easily the finest out there. These straighteners have each and every cutting edge capability; 450F max temp, damp-or-dry styling, lightening fast heat time, revolutionary heating plates, adjustable heat and the most consistent plate heating of any product. The Runway models also have the best consumer feed back of all the products that we reviewed. If you want the best and most effective straightener out there this is most certainly it, and it is going to cost you. These straighteners usually about $400.

Are the FHI Runway models really worth the money? If you can afford it, definitely.

2) The FHI Platform Series - As a leader in the improvement of ceramic plating and tourmaline integration, FHI's Platform series provides an outstanding hair straightener at a much more affordable price. Available for purchase in multiple sizes, the Platform series offers adjustable temperature, 450F max heat, PTFC ceramic heat plates and ultra flash heat times. While the Platform Series is less expensive than the Runway models, it's important to note that they are still pricey at around $150 - $200.

3) CHI Pink Series - The popular pink hair straightener offers the best performance and dependability of any straightener in the Farouk CHI product line. Ceramic plates, temperature control, and flash heat times combined with an ergonomically and comfortably designed handle make the CHI hair straightener a perfect choice for anybody that wants to get the most out of their hair.

4) T3 Wet-or-Dry - In actuality, this straightener has a rank that is above the CHI Pink series in product features, but it dropped to the fourth spot because customers have had difficulties with warranty returns. Other than that, the T3 Wet-or-Dry provides a sound ceramic design.

5) CHI Turbo Series - The Turbo series takes fifth place in our 2007 hair straightener review. This hair straightener line is used by more hair professionals than any other model. And though its flash heating and maximum temperature do not match the CHI Pink, the CHI Turbo series is a great choice for people that want top-notch performance and dependability.

Honorable Mention

Although our 2007 flat iron review lists the best of the bunch, there are many other top quality, professionally designed flat irons and hair straighteners available. The following are a few:

HAI Hair Straightener|Flat Iron - HAI has two excellent choices at prices you can afford; the Nu Stik and the Convertible.

*One of the better known models on the market, the sedu hair straighteners, wasn't reviewed because of what seems to be misleading sales practices and the anti-competitive, exclusive online distribution agreement.
